Jessica has been practicing yoga since she was a teenager and teaching since 2018. Her healing and teaching work is focused around cancer recovery and self acceptance. In 2016 Jessica was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer while pregnant with her second child. And it was at this time that her yoga practice truly began to impact the way she healed on a mental, emotional and physical level.

Jessica enjoys teaching Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Cancer Recovery, strength classes utilizing the hammocks and has zero shame in her prop game.  She is an Oncology Reiki Practitioner, certified in Yoga for Cancer Recovery, and is the creator of the Soul Seeds Affirmation Decks. If she’s not at the studio, you can most likely find her in a hard core dance battle with one of her tiny humans.

Since I have started Ashtānga yoga practice, it led me to Purna Matsyendrasana of the 3rd series as of today. I have been learning foundational yogic knowledge for organizing and containing strength, energy, and attention, plus Prāṇāyāma (breath control). I experienced prāṇāyāma as the tool for transforming energy flows in whole-body awareness and adjusting to progression of yoga asanas.

I learnt teacher's role as witnessing students' progress with attentive care to give advices which supports them with intuitive and practical feedback. I can't imagine that any type of group classes can offer this much connectedness, which almost feels like the teacher stands in front of each student at any moment.

I realized that yoga is a scientific tool from ancient wisdom that can engineer us from the inside, which will bring out various effects like vigor, vitality, one-pointed mind and also make us realized interconnection to people, lifes, and environments. It is an eye-opening and enriching journey.

I am truly lucky to share this experiences at @booteaflowyoga with devoted hearts to yoga and students.

I don't think I have any coolness to show off, but I want to share this quote of Lao Tzu:

“Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

Now, I am ready to guide that single step of you with Ashtānga yoga practice here.

At age 12, Corey procured his first computer. A sedentary lifestyle ensued for nearly 2 decades. It wasn’t until his mid twenties he vanquished video games from his life and began his physical journey. He discovered sports for the first time, Indoor Rock Climbing and Racquetball. Meditation and calming effects came from these discoveries, but not without a reality check that he has the flexibility of a steel bar. This led him to yoga. For many sun orbits he was shy and inflexible hiding in the back corner of the studio. Yoga almost veered from his path when a teacher ridiculed his inflexibility over the microphone. All fear and judgment has since been expelled from his being. He has learned to laugh at and love his body as is. Corey is absolutely infatuated with the breath and what it can do for the mind, body and soul. The dance we call yoga is part of his daily practice for the rest of his life. This makes future Corey beyond delighted.

True power resides within. Harness this and become infinite.
