Through hands-on apprenticeships and practice teaching, you'll gain the confidence and expertise needed to teach, with the potential opportunity to become an instructor at our studio.

Ashtanga

Requirements

This 6-month course is for a deeper understanding of diverse aspects of yoga. Participants must have practiced Ashtanga yoga for a minimum of 3 months with a frequency of 2 to 3 times per week.

Training Includes

Our Yoga Immersion & Apprenticeship are divided into three parameters:

Study (18 hours in person over 6 months, 3 hours/month)
- Ashtanga yoga system: Thorough study of the primary series of Ashtanga yoga
- Pranayama & chanting: Learn basic Sanskrit through chanting Shanti mantras and practice different pranayama techniques to guide short meditation
- Physiology: Basics of functional anatomy, myofascial connection, injuries, and hands-on verbal assists
- Yoga history & philosophy: Explore the tradition through texts such as Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, and Ayurvedic texts
- How to guide Yin-hanced stretching method class: Learn to support and guide this stretching method with silks, which provides advantages of Yin yoga
Apprenticeship
- Learn hands-on verbal assistance through weekly participation in actual class settings
Practice Teaching
- Teach as the main teacher for a total of 12 hours in actual classes under the guidance of a mentor

Aerial Yoga

Requirements

• We welcome practitioners at all levels, but they must have completed at least 5 aerial yoga classes to be eligible for this training.

Training Includes

• We will cover safety, mindful sequencing, basic to advanced poses, and more — all while using a higher-set hammock.
